IBM Spectrum Control and IBM Storage Insights Training Series
IBM Spectrum Control and IBM Storage Insights are applications that run alongside your IBM Storage arrays and give significant additional management and security capabilities. In our experience we have found that many organisations already have licensing for these products, but are either not using them at all, or not aware of the full capabilities of them.
This training series will be delivered by Raj Davatwal, who has distilled down a full multi-day course on this topic to the key areas that he believes will be of most use for organisations. We hope that this will give people the opportunity to begin utilising these tools and getting the most out of their storage investments.
9th Oct – Session 1 – Introduction to IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights: Licensing, Security, and GUI Overview
In this session we will cover an introduction to IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights, an overview of licensing the products, a look into security considerations that organisations may have, and a walkthrough of the graphical user interfaces for both products.
16th Oct – Session 2 – Advanced Features of IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights: Call Home, Data Collectors, and One-Click Problem Ticketing
In this session we will investigate some of the advanced functions of IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights, including Call Home, data collectors, and the streamlined process for opening problem tickets.
23rd Oct – Session 3 – Comprehensive Reporting with IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights: Leveraging Built-in and Cognos Reporting Tools
In this session we will focus on reporting capabilities within both IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights, as well as the use of the Cognos Reporting tool, which is included in the software package.
29th Oct – Session 4 – Enhancing Storage Management with IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights Pro: Alerting, Alert Policies and Anomaly Detection.
In this session we will explore alerting, alert policies, and malicious attack detection features within IBM Spectrum Control and Storage Insights, and how the use of IBM FlashCore modules can strengthen this capability.
